We provide holistic prenatal care for low-risk pregnancies, that considers personal values, preferences, and involves evidence-based practice and shared-decision making.
Our prenatal care is centered around close, attentive monitoring of both mother and baby throughout the pregnancy. At each visit, we take the time to assess your health, track your baby’s development, and ensure that both of you are thriving. We follow evidence-based guidelines to evaluate whether all criteria continue to be met for a safe, out-of-hospital birth. This includes regular screenings, lab work, and ongoing risk assessments to support your safety and peace of mind. If at any point your pregnancy no longer meets the standards for birth center care, we’ll guide you with compassion and expertise through your options, always prioritizing your well-being.
At our state-of-the-art birth center, we provide natural, supportive, and family-centered birth services in a calm and nurturing environment. Our skilled team is committed to creating a safe space where you feel empowered, respected, and in control of your birthing experience. All births are attended by a licensed midwife and trained birth assistant, who are certified in BLS, ACLS, NRP and ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics). We specialize in unmedicated births and offer comfort measures such as water and nitrous oxide for pain relief, and the freedom to move and labor in positions that feel right for you. We are fully equipped with essential medical equipment and medications to respond if complications arise—using medical interventions only when truly necessary. Your safety, comfort, and birth preferences – supported by evidence-based care – guide every step of our care.
We are here to support you well beyond birth. Our postpartum care includes a home visit within 24–48 hours after delivery, conducted by a licensed midwife or registered nurse. During this visit, we provide personalized lactation support, assess the well-being of both mother and baby, and complete all New York State-required newborn screenings—including metabolic screening, critical congenital heart defect (CCHD) screening, and hearing screening. Routine follow-up visits continue throughout the postpartum period to help ensure a smooth, healthy transition into motherhood – physically, emotionally, and practically.
Our in-house Pediatric Nurse Practitioner provides routine newborn care within the first 6 weeks of life, enabling new mothers to combine postpartum care with well-baby care in the same visit.
